Public Safety
With more than 50 years experience, TransCanada is a leader in the responsible development and reliable operation of North American energy infrastructure. Founded in 1951 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Pipelines are the safest method of transporting the huge volumes of natural gas that must be moved throughout North America everyday. To keep our system safe, we rely on our neighbors and contractors to be our partners in safety. They are often the first line of defense when it comes to ensuring our pipeline stays safe and reliable; TransCanada's facilities and pipelines are marked with signs at road, rail and river crossings. Please take note of the signs in your area. Take note of TransCanada's pipeline markers in your area. Be aware of the regulatory requirements by the National Energy Board if you are working on or near the TransCanada pipeline system. It's your call. Working Safely Around Pipelines, Be Aware, Take Care, Call for Safety!
