5th Annual Community Safety Day
We are proud to share our mutual commitment to safety and promote it to the communities in which we work, live and play. The 5th Annual Community Safety Day was a huge success made possible by ConocoPhillips, EnCana, Alberta Sustainable Resource Development and TransCanada, along with several other contributors from our community and province abroad.
The goal to increase safety knowledge in every aspect of our lives was delivered to all ages on May 27th at the Voyageur Arena in Rocky Mountain House. We want to develop and encourage safe and healthy habits for everyone. If we can model safety to our children from a young age, this will become routine for them. Our hope is to decrease accidents, incidents and injuries by educating and increasing awareness about safety.
Close to 40 participants covered everything from fires, to bears, to ATVs, to mold, to farm hazards, electrical, internet, first aid, simulated driving distractions and much, much more making an impact on the community through games, activities, and interactive displays.
