Alberta Sustainable Resource Development Booth

Sustainable Resource Development is committed to safety and seeks to provide educational opportunities to the community with respect to interactions in our natural world. Drop by to talk to the experts and see the following displays!

Respect the Land Trailer
To preserve the integrity of Alberta's landscape, protect recreational access to the backcountry, minimize conflicts between users and to ensure future generations enjoy the same opportunities, we share the responsibility of minimizing disturbances to the landscape, vegetation, wildlife, waterways and other users of the land. Respect goes both ways!

Bear Trap
It’s important to know some basic facts about bears if you enjoy outdoor activities in bear country. Take steps to ensure that you, your family and companions are “bear smart” when hiking, fishing, camping, cycling, canoeing and OHV or horseback riding. Officers are available to answer your questions and provide insight into the world of wildlife.

FireSmart Display
FireSmart helps protect homes and communities from the threat of wildfire. Using fire-resistant materials on buildings and following simple landscaping practices will help create a FireSmart community. Stop by and receive a check list that you can use around your home to ensure your house is FireSmart!

It will take approx 30mins to visit all booths - see you there!
